RegisteredStolen.com ("we", "us", "our") is a free global registry for lost and stolen items. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service. If you have any privacy concerns, please contact us at hello@registeredstolen.com.
We use your personal data to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; to moderate content and prevent fraud; to communicate with you about your account and listings; to send optional digest emails about your items; to analyse usage patterns and improve user experience; and to comply with legal obligations.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase PostgreSQL servers located in the EU (London, UK, eu-west-2). All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We enforce row-level security (RLS) on all database tables, ensuring users can only access their own data. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Item listings are retained indefinitely to maintain the integrity of the registry. You may request deletion at any time.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate data; request erasure of your data (right to be forgotten); restrict or object to processing; receive your data in a portable format (data portability); and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@registeredstolen.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We share data only with trusted service providers: Supabase (database hosting, EU servers), Stripe (payment processing for Boosts and Recovery Scout), and Acumbamail (transactional email delivery). We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
